It wouldn’t be a healthy Friday without Cinco Bala. This week's top 5 lessons, hacks and quotes I’ve been pondering, applying and battling.

For those of you who are new, this is a concept I took from Tim Ferriss. (This is just focused on MLM and online marketing) If you don’t subscribe to his newsletter. You should do it.

Lesson in Network Marketing: Don’t Promote The Results - Best way to create a mental yo-yo inside one of your downline partners?

Constantly promote other people’s results to them.

It’s kinda like looking on Instagram at all the people with the perfect body or perfect life and idolizing it…

It doesn’t get you anywhere besides depressed. Only the rare bird is motivated by this.

99% of the other birds are motivated by seeing something THEY CAN DO being edified.

That’s why when someone does something good on our team, we don’t edify the result, we edify the ACTION it took to get those results. At the end of the day, if you have a bunch of people chasing results, you’ll have a team of people chasing shortcuts and thinking about walking into traffic if they think they’re not keeping up.

Edify the action.

Lesson in Online Marketing: You Need A Big Idea - I can’t stress this enough…

The most important part of ANY sales or recruiting process online OR offline is the primary idea behind it.

There is literally no point to building a funnel if your offer isn’t defined and your offer is a direct derivative of the main “idea” of your funnel.

It’s so important that I recorded a podcast about this exact topic. You can click here to listen to it on iTunes.

A Mindset Trick: Work It Out - It’s no secret that working out releases dopamine into the bloodstream, making us happy and overall more productive.

However, I’ve been WELL known to sacrifice work out time in lieu of more “productive” activities. Like punching my computer screen repeatedly as I’m agonizing over a headline.

As much as I hate to admit it, resting (doing anything besides working, including working out) actually INCREASES my productivity over the course of the day.

Like most things productive, they actually work backwards than how we naturally think.

So, if you feel that you just have too much stuff to get done and don’t have time to hit the gym, go on a run or smash that bag, remember that you’ll probably get more done FASTER with LESS stress afterwards.

Subjecting your body to smaller amounts of stress while working out builds up its tolerance to it in the first place. So not only will you release stress NOW but you’ll become more adept at handling it in the first place.

So if you’re like me and more motivated by mental, financial or spiritual progress over physical progress…

Realize that physical progress is a catalyst to the rest.

Quote I love: They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. Those Who Sacrifice Liberty For Security Deserve Neither. He who would trade liberty for some temporary security, deserves neither liberty nor security.

Book I Love: Animal Farm - All I can say is wow. Now You may have read this or the sister book in school, 1984.

But I can promise you that if the last time you read either of these books was back in high school, you likely didn’t catch the real premise of what Orwell is saying.

I know I didn’t.

Animal farm is a fascinating and scary look at the reality we’re moving towards…

If you believe in freedom in any capacity, I HIGHLY recommend you get this now.

Zach
