It wouldn’t be a healthy Friday without Cinco Bala. This week's top 5 lessons, hacks and quotes I’ve been pondering, applying and battling.
For those of you who are new, this is a concept I took from Tim Ferriss. (This is just focused on MLM and online marketing) If you don’t subscribe to his newsletter. You should do it.
Lesson in Network Marketing: Don’t Make Claims - Every couple months I hear stories about people in the “business opportunity” space getting shut down or going to jail for making income claims. And even while we’re as squeaky clean as we can be, I know that no business is 100% perfect all the time.
So, I'm constantly hyper aware to be dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s in our business. And I want to share the bottom line with you…
Do NOT make any income claims at all. Do NOT tell people it’s going to be easy. It’s not.
This is as good of an ethical practice as it is a marketing one. People smell BS a mile away. And if you want low quality opportunity junkies, “quick” money is good bait. If you want high quality leader types - tell them the truth. No matter WHAT you do, it’s going to be hard work.
Lesson in Online Marketing: Ebb and Flow - One month you’re crushing it, one month you’re questioning your life choices. Such is the game of the business owner.
No matter what you do or how big of a marketing budget you have, you will experience “up” weeks and months. And “down” weeks and months. Treat it as a cyclical event, calm your nerves and press on. Business is a roller coaster and the only ones who get hurt are the ones who jump off early.
This podcast episode has even more details:
Quote I Love: “What in this moment, is lacking?”
Book I’m Reading: The Power of Now - Being a Christian, I was hesitant to read a “spiritual” book from a non-Christian author. But from everything I heard, I was confident that the author did not suggest worshipping another God in any way. I was under the impression that he would help me get closer with my God.
So far, I’ve been correct in that assumption.
And this has been the single greatest supplement to my mindfulness practice in the past 4 years. If you haven’t read this book, I highly recommend it.
My Big Project: The Lead Wheel - As you may know, we’ve been developing the next evolution of the Rebels Recruiting system for our personal team for a couple months now. It’s called the “Lead Wheel” and is at its core, it’s a lead “buying program”.
Which means that before someone dives into the Rebels curriculum and learns how to market their business for themselves, they can get an immediate stream of exceptionally qualified applicants for their business on day one.
How?
Because the geniuses behind the scenes of MLM Rebels (not me) have devised a way to allow a virtually unlimited number of people to “buy in” to our application funnel and receive the end result of it - applicants.
But these aren’t just any leads. These are not the atrocious “MLM leads” from lead brokering websites. These are not leads from solo ads and are not straight out of the phone book.
These are our personal applicants that we generate for our business. In fact, each applicant before applying has read a 41 page sales letter and completed the associated homework.
It’s been quite a bit of work and we have a little more to do before putting it out to the world.
We’re going to start with a small group of 35-50 people to begin. Once all the kinks are worked out, we will open it up to the rest of our team and the public.
That being said, we have more than enough people chomping at the bit to get their hands on this. But as any good marketer, I wouldn’t waste an opportunity to capitalize on the excitement this project generates...
So, while I can’t guarantee it, if you think you’d like to participate in the lead wheel when it comes out, I’m going to open up 10 of the first 50 slots to brand new people that get started in the next week.
To learn more about the opportunity and see if it’s a good fit for you, read the MLM Rebels Blueprint from start to finish and fill out an application.
From there, you’ll get on a call with one of my strategists and together, you can decide if it’s a good fit for you.
